Happy smoothie lovers! Today I’m sharing one of my absolute go-to healthy drinks, a banana and blueberry smoothie that’s creamy, naturally sweet, and perfect for busy mornings or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

I love recipes like this because they’re simple, nourishing, and honestly feel a little bit like a treat even though they’re packed with goodness.

Why I Love This Smoothie?

  • This combo is one I come back to again and again because:
  • It’s naturally sweet (no added sugar needed).
  • Super quick, literally 5 minutes.
  • Great for breakfast or post-workout fuel.
  • Kid-friendly and totally adaptable.
  • Plus blueberries always make everything feel a bit more fun, don’t they?

Ingredients:

  • 1 Extra large banana or 2 small one
  • 100ml Semi-skimmed milk (dairy or plant-based both work)
  • 50g Blueberries fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A few ice cubes if using fresh fruit
  • A few extra blueberries for topping

Method:

  1. Peel and chop the banana, wash blueberries and add to a smoothie maker or blender.
  2. Add semi-skimmed milk and blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or add more liquid if needed.
  4. Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy straight away.
  5. Optional extra: few blueberries.
