Foggy Walk In The Woods With Mollie The Collie And My Daughter. A Country Kids Post.
Hello friends, so how are you today? We love walkies. Well, I have no choice as Mollie needs at least 2 walks a dog so we have to love walkies.
I have to take Mollie the Collie walking every morning to burn some of her energy off. Come rain, shine or fog we still have to go out!!
Plus at least one or 2 hour walks in the afternoon. Hopefully, she is keeping me fit but I never seem to lose weight!?

There’s something undeniably magical about a foggy morning in the woods. The world feels quieter, softer, and a little more mysterious.
One recent morning, my daughter and I bundled up, clipped the lead onto Mollie’s collar, and set off on a Foggy Walk In The Woods with Mollie The Collie And My Daughter.
A simple outing that turned into a memory I know I’ll treasure forever.

Firstly, our sensible walking shoes on!!
I get a few hours peace and quiet after our walks once we have been out so it makes senses to get out as soon as we wake up.
Then she stops following me around the house giving me that, are we going walkies look!!
At weekends I have sometime have company to walk with, and my daughter loves to come for a walk with me and Mollie for an adventure.
Sometimes even my son likes to join us. Sometimes!!
We always have lots of fun in the woods.
Hide and seek is usually our favourite game, especially if we can lose Mollie for a few seconds.

A Morning Wrapped in Mist. This particular morning it was still dark and very foggy. We had lots of fun running through the leaves, hiding behind the trees and playing Frisbee with Mollie.
As we stepped onto the woodland trail, fog drifted between the trees like a gentle veil. The air was cool and fresh, carrying the earthy scent of damp leaves and pine needles.
My daughter squeezed my hand, her eyes wide with excitement, while Mollie the Collie trotted ahead confidently, tail wagging as if she knew this walk was something special.
Mollie the Collie Leading the way, as usual.
Mollie waiting for me to throw the frisbee! How dark and foggy was it inside the woods!?

So Many Thing’s To See:
Lots of lovely things to see and take pictures of too.
Love seeing all the pine cones on the floor and squirrels running around, never quick enough to take pictures of them, though.
Lucky none have ever fallen on my head.

Eek it’s a bear!!
Every time I walk into the woods there are more and more broken trees on the floor. Sometimes I can hear the branches crashing to the floor as we walk by.
Sometimes I walk through the woods and there is a whole tree that has been blown over, just laying on the pathway. Scary!!

The woods looks beautiful first thing.
Also so peaceful and quiet. Sometimes I just stand here and listen to the birds chirping.
The fog muffled distant sounds, making our footsteps and soft laughter feel like the only noise in the world.
It was peaceful in a way that’s hard to describe, like the woods were inviting us to slow down and truly be present.

Mollie was in her element. Every rustle in the bushes and every new scent seemed to fascinate her.
She paused often, nose to the ground, then looked back at us as if to make sure we were still following.
Watching her explore reminded my daughter that curiosity is something to celebrate, not rush through.
During our Foggy Walk In The Woods with Mollie The Collie And My Daughter, Mollie became more than just our dog, she was our guide, encouraging us to notice the little things we might have otherwise missed.

Small Moments, Lasting Memories:
Small Moments, Lasting Memories.
I also found this picture I never knew about. Time for a selfie eh misses!?
My daughter pointed out spider webs sparkling with dew and tried to guess what animals might live deeper in the woods.
We talked, laughed, and even enjoyed a few comfortable moments of silence. In a world that often feels too busy, this walk felt like a gift of time and connection.
By the time the fog began to lift, we felt refreshed and grounded. It wasn’t a long hike or a grand adventure, but it didn’t need to be.
A Foggy Walk In The Woods with Mollie The Collie And My Daughter reminded me that the most meaningful moments are often the simplest ones.
Nature has a way of bringing families closer together, and sharing it with a loyal dog like Mollie makes it even more special.
We returned home with muddy boots, rosy cheeks, and full hearts, already looking forward to the next misty morning when the woods call us back again.

On Monday we went to visit Sherwood Forest in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire.
The weather was amazing for the time of year and the sun was shining brightly. Not like the rest of the week, as mentioned, which was dull and rainy.
We wanted somewhere to go where we could spend a good few hours, which was also puppy friendly. Somewhere we could wear the puppy out and the children too.
We knew this might be the best day of the week, so somewhere outdoors it was!!
Sherwood Forest was a perfect choice. The children loved running around, playing on the parks and in the woods. All the while taking in all the sights and sounds of mother nature.
Mollie enjoyed sniffing around at all the new smells. Here are some more photos from out day:

Mollie is the perfect excuse for you to get out everyday and make time to enjoy the countryside. I think I will have to get a dog just to persuade my kids to come out with me! I think if we had Mollie Clio and the boys might well join me. I love all your frosty morning photos, there were some gorgeous mornings here last week too, I wish I had taken my camera out more. Your photos are gorgeous and I love the last black and white of your daughter, what a beauty!Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKidsidsdis
